As you can tell I have not posted anything in a while. Life for the Kraus' has been just a bit crazy. The last post was of Matt's going away party in Canyon. Since then we have moved into a hotel, travel trailer, and finally into our new home. Lets see I want to catch you up on what has been going on but not go into much detail because it is about 3-4 weeks of stuff. I will start with Brylee's first Christmas. We spent the week away from Matt since he had to start work and I had shopping to do. Brylee and I stayed in San Antonio and tryed to accomplish everything for the special day. I was overwhelmed and majorly stressed. All I kept telling myself is it is a day for the Lord not all the little things that don't really matter. We spent Christmas at Grandma Stahls without Matt because he was driving in 8 inches of snow from Crowell to Abilene. It should be a 2 hr drive and it took him about 4 1/2 hrs. He made it just in time for Church. When the bells were ringing in came my hubby. I knew then Christmas was going to be special. We spent Brylee's Christmas morning at my Mom and Blu's. Brylee had a blast. Then the running began. After Christmas we went to Canyon and then to Crowell. Let me tell you I was sick and tired of being on the road. We started the house remodel. We bought new appliances. Keith came and put in a new central heating and a/c unit. Everyone else helped clean, paint, and most of all watch Brylee. We put in new flooring. Last night we started hanging pictures and making the house feel more like home. Everyday has been a day of work. I have been working from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. I want to tell everyone I am sorry for the miss calls. When I get the call if I am in the middle of something I don't stop. If I stop I don't go back to it. I promise when I get things situated around here I will be available to sit on the phone and talk. Right now my brakes are getting Brylee out of trouble, cooking, taking a shower, and going to bed. Like I said things are shaping up. I will post pictures soon.
Let me tell you a little bit about the town. The first time we came I was a little apprehensive about it, but now I love it. Everyone is down to earth. Things around here are not fast pace. We visit Marlows hardware a lot and when you go to Marlows you better have some time on your hands. You go in stand or sit around an old space heater and talk. Then you kind of forget what you went for so you sit around some more until it comes to you. You finally remember get your things and find out that you are a bit hungry. So you head over to the Dairy Bar and join the town party. When we walk in everyone starts saying "Hi Y'all! How's the house coming? And the boss?" We order, sit, and, talk to everyone for a good hour. By then we are too tired to go back to the house to work so we head to the D&T to get some groceries. They have the best meat market. All I can say is it is very small. They are the only place in town that take a debit card. You don't even have to tell the bagger what car is yours he just heads out there and starts loading while you pay. I know what you are thinking...well how does he get into your car? People around her do not lock their cars, heck you are lucky if they even turn the car off to run in. Ha Ha! Then head on over to the bank. Everyone there is so friendly. I just love going in and talking to everyone. Oh I almost forgot the mail. All you have to do is walk into the post office and if they see you they say..."Mrs Kraus...nothing today." How cool is that!?! I really really like it here. We had the Chamber of Commerce banquet Monday. It was great! This weekend is the county stock show. Matt is helping out with that. I was but then decided to spend time with my family that is coming up. We are getting involved and staying very busy with the house and the town activities. I can go on and on, but I have typed enough. By the way I need to get back to work. I promise I will be posting pictures soon. So make sure you check back. One thing before I leave....Brylee is walking. She started walking last Thursday. My little girl is growing up. I will post videos of that too. Well...back to work may the fun begin! Lots of love to all!!! Thanks for everything!!!!
